Weinbau und Klimawandel – Erste Analysen aus Österreich und führenden internationalen Weinbaugebieten (Viticulture and Climate Change – First Analyses for Austria and Leading International Viticultural Regions), a book by Dr. Ing. Franz Prettenthaler (Joanneum Research, Graz) and Dr. Herbert Formayer (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna), was one of the CCCA’s first projects. The publication compiles studies and analyses from Austria, Australia, South Africa and South America.
The book presentation took place in Graz on 26 June 2013. Besides the editors’ scientific insights, also the regional experiences of a winemaker (Gerhard Wohlmuth jun.) and wine graduate Philipp Schäffer’s remarks on the anticipated effects of climate change on the taste of wine, were topics of discussion at the presentation.
