makingAchange

makingAchange is a cooperation project between science and school. The CCCA-Climate Change Center Austria together with the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research invites all secondary schools to participate in the project on climate change and sustainability in Austria.

Climate education for schools

Students and graduates have set themselves the goal to close this knowledge gap and to strengthen the scientific and socio-scientific understanding of the climate system and climate policy as well as the awareness for our earth and our future. In the project Climate Education for Schools, they hold lectures and workshops at schools for lower to upper grades from all school types with the support of professors from a wide range of disciplines.

Change the Story

In the "Change the Story" project, a team of researchers from the University of Graz (contact: Kathrin Marie Otrel-Cass, Institute for Pedagogical Professionalization) how and in what ways the topic of climate crisis and change is addressed in schools in the context of digital storytelling.

Teaching materials

There are already some teaching materials related to the climate crisis, in order to also bring the quality of these materials on a scientific basis, the CCCA haslaunched a project for the peer review of teaching materials in order to support educational institutions with their educational mission on climate change.
