Die Universität Graz hat ein Datenportal online gestellt, das aussagekräftige Indikatoren zu Treibhausgas-Emissionen und Klimawandel, die sogenannten „Graz Climate Change Indicators“ (kurz GCCI), in ihrer zeitlichen Entwicklung übersichtlich darstellt. Das Portal bietet nicht nur verlässliche Emissionsmonitoring-Informationen des Zeitraums seit 1960 für Österreich, Europa und global, sondern stellt auch Zukunftsszenarien bis 2050 dar, die sich an den Pariser Klimazielen orientieren. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt sind Indikatoren der globalen Klimaerwärmung, wie etwa die Zunahme des Wärmegehalts in der Atmosphäre und in den Ozeanen sowie des Energie-Ungleichgewichts der Erde wegen der andauernden Treibhausgas-Emissionen.

At the pulse of climate: New Uni Graz portal for climate change indicators
The University of Graz has put a data portal online that displays informative indicators on greenhouse gas emissions and climate change, the so-called “Graz Climate Change Indicators” (GCCI), over recent decades as well as looking ahead until mid-century. The portal not only offers reliable emission monitoring information for the period since 1960 for Austria, Europe, and globally, but also presents future scenarios up to 2050 that are based on the Paris climate goals. Another focus are indicators of global climate warming, such as the increase of the heat content in the atmosphere and oceans as well as the critical Earth energy imbalance due to continued greenhouse gas emissions.
