We live in a highly globalised and hyper-connected world. At the same time, it feels like falling apart: To a large extent, we have lost connection – to ‘others’ in society, to ‘other’ kinds of knowing, and to something we are used to call ‘nature’.
What really matters to us? Is it possible to un-learn and un-do ingrained habits or routines resulting in ways of living severely threatening ecosystems and resulting in multiple socio-ecological crises we are facing nowadays? Out of a sense of urgency, can a mindset emerge that entails a more-than-human way of thinking and acting, both individually and collectively?
The workshop is an invitation to explore these questions and themes by getting in motion through a performative and embodied approach. In doing so, we also reflect upon the creative potential of art-science collaborations (such as 03: Soil) for unleashing societal change towards a healthier future on Planet Earth.
