Wilfried Hinsch is a professor of philosophy at the University of Cologne, where he has worked on, inter alia, ethical questions of war and peace, co-authoring two books on the topic, Menschenrechte militärisch schützen: Ein Plädoyer für humanitäre Intervention (together with Dieter Jansen, 2006, München: C.H.
