Carbon offsetting
It is our aim to organise the Climate Day 2016 as environmentally friendly as possible. This calls for an environmentally friendly buffet, the programme booklet to be printed environmentally friendly, and the accessibility of all event locations via public transport, by bicycle, or on foot. Also communication and the collective will to set an example play an important part. The motto is: prevent and reduce climate-damaging greenhouse gas emissions.
Using the Vienna University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences’ carbon offsetting system, the CCCA will compensate for those CO2 emissions caused by the participants travelling to and from the Climate Day.
Further information on the carbon offsetting system are available here.
Waste separation
All Climate Day venues are equipped with waste separation systems, and we kindly ask you to dispose of your waste accordingly.
Benedikt Becsi (benedict.becsi@boku.ac.at) will be the person of contact for all questions concerning the topic of green meetings before and throughout the Climate Day
