"Can we achieve climate resilient development of all?", Lisa Schipper - Climate Change and Climate Crisis - Ringvorlesung an der Universität Wien 13.15


This lecture series is a sequel to the lecture series "Climate change and climate crisis. Interdisciplinary perspectives" and "Climate change and climate crisis. Future perspectives and concepts". It will address current issues of climate change and climate crisis through the lenses of various disciplines, such as climate science, geography, economics, cultural studies, political science, law, finance and more.

All of the national and international speakers are well-known researchers in their respective fields and beyond. Many of them participate in public debates about the probable effects of the current climate crisis and about possible remedies.

Lisa Schipper is research fellow at the Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford, UK, exploring the interlinkages between climate change and human development and Lead Author of the IPCC 6th Assessment Report.

Thomas Potthast is Professor for Ethics, Theory and History of the Life Sciences at the University of Tübingen, Germany with a focus on environmental ethics.

Katharina Rogenhofer is co-founder of the Austrian Fridays For Future movement and spokeswoman of the Klimavolksbegehren, which is fighting for ambitious climate action since 2019.
